Welcome Message
The Czech Republic, one of the most neutral countries in all of the world wars, made its Eurovision debut in 2007, with the song Malá Dáma by Kabát. Now, the Czech Republic has participated in the 2025 Eurovision with "Kiss Kiss Goodbye," which, sadly, did not qualify for the semi-finals.
A gospel-techno-pop song, by ‘Adonx’, also known as Adam Pavlovčin, a Slovakian singer born in Myjava. Making a performance in the 2nd semi that got the Czech Republic a ranking of 14th place for the 2025 Eurovision contest. In one instance, he was late to harmonize in the background vocals at 01:34 minutes, pushing his performance score back. While also presenting his excellent vocal range at 02:24 minutes, showing he could still finish with an outstanding and smooth end.
First being introduced in acoustic form by piano, at Malta's Eurovision song contest, receiving great amounts of positive feedback, especially among bookmakers. Soon, Czech Television held an international selection, picking Kiss Kiss Goodbye, announcing the selection on December 11th, 2025. Adonx expressing his honor to show off the LGBTQ+ community in Czech and Slovakia, stating in an interview with Aussievision, "coming from Slovakia or Czech were actually, the representation may not be as dense as other countries...at the same time very privileged locally." expressing that maybe in Eurovision they already have LGBTQ+ representation, but when it comes to his birth country and Czech he feels more honored as there is less representation locally.
The Czech Republic may not have won any Eurovision so fair, but every year, they inch closer to the title. I chose this country as I knew it had always had a neutral political stance that I could personally relate to. The Czech Republic has always been neutral, where most people in the country are non-religious. It has made me very inclined to ask, as an outsider, why this country always seems to be in the middle, even in Eurovision.
